Abstract: The collection contains records pertaining to the Kent State University Ashtabula Campus including subject files, publications, and reports.


History of Kent State University Ashtabula Campus: Established in 1958 in a former junior high school, the Kent State University Ashtabula Campus (also known as Kent State University at Ashtabula) opened the doors to its current campus in 1967. The northernmost campus of Kent State University, Ashtabula offers baccalaureate and associate degrees and has held commencement for thousands of students since the 1970s.


Scope and Content: This collection is made up of materials formerly housed in a vertical file in the Department of Special Collections and Archives. The records are composed mostly of subject files, publications and reports. Many of these materials were created by the Publications Office on the Kent State University main campus.
