Description An undergraduate student at Kent State University in 1970, the narrator describes his experiences taking part in protest demonstrations against the Vietnam War. Before transferring to Kent State in 1969, he had been involved in ROTC at another school and had been in favor of the Vietnam War. Following the death of his brother, however, he became an active anti-war protestor. He relays his eyewitness account of the shootings on May 4, 1970.
