Description An resident of Kent in 1970 relates her memories of the events surrounding the shootings on the Kent State campus. She talks about the National Guard camping in her front yard beginning the weekend prior to the shootings and about initially hearing that it was National Guardsmen that had been shot. She discusses the fear people in Kent felt during that time and the reasons for that fear. Additionally, she describes the tunnel system on the Kent State campus and that the tunnels were used by campus police for riot control procedures.
