Description Carol Mirman was a senior majoring in Fine Arts at Kent State University in 1970 and was one of the Kent 25. The Kent 25 refers to the twenty five students and faculty indicted by a grand jury on criminal charges for crimes in conjunction with the events of May, 1970. In this oral history, Carol Mirman gives her eyewitness account of the May 4, 1970, shootings on the Kent State campus. She was in The Commons area at the time and was with Jeffrey Miller after he had been shot. She also describes events that took place in downtown Kent on Friday, May 1.
