Description Formerly located on the tree lawn along East Main Street, the Rock was moved to its current location at the base of Hilltop Drive in 1972. "At first Greek organizations decorated it with their symbols, but it soon became an irresistible surface for anyone with an event to celebrate, from a Homecoming triumph to a wedding." Photograph appears on age 244 of A Book of Memories.
